Making contacts, building teams and making things happen are my most important strengths. It has been a great advantage when I have worked for 10 years with my own investments in software companies and for another 10 years when I have been an advisor in corporate transactions. I believe that I have a very good feeling for what distinguishes a good company from a bad one. With one exception, I have so far avoided or worked my way through really bad investments. Investments become much easier if you purchase companies with positive cash flows and stable customer relationships.
Having spent 10+ years of running and scaling software companies within B2B, I have a clear idea of what is required and what works to build international growth companies with recurring revenues. I am slightly obsessed with the business model that comes with SaaS and am passionate about helping other companies to become better in their field. Common to the companies I have worked with is that they have been mature in their fields and have required new changes to be able to grow further, without external capital. This has taught me to balance between building long-term values and immediate cash flow improvements.
With my background from both the operational side and as an investor, I have over time worked out a clear methodology for what characterizes good corporate governance, which has given good results. In short, I believe that you go a long way with order and common sense. Pål and I have worked together for almost 15 years and I have worked with Nils for almost 7 years.
